Assignment of student rights
Students (unemployed) may assign their intellectual property rights to ETH Zurich. The template applies to projects (Bachelor Thesis, Master Thesis etc.) in which no third party is involved.

If a third party (i.e. industry) is involved, a Project Worker Agreement is required.
Agreements
ETH transfer provides samples of agreements regarding the commercialization of intellectual property according to RSETHZ 440.51 (Equity and Licensing Policy of ETH Zurich):

Material Transfer Agreement (MTA)
MTAs regulate the rights and obligations regarding the delivery and use of materials - this includes bacterial strains, antibodies and cell lines. When ETH Zurich supplies materials to an academic partner, the responsible budget officer signs the MTA alone. If material is transferred to a commercial entity, a staff member of ETH transfer co-signes. Request the template from Andrea Haag or Ying Wang.
