Emanuel Weber

Previous work experience

Emanuel studied physics at the University Federico II of Naples (Italy). During 9 years he was employed as hardware developer by telecommunication companies (Siemens, Ascom) and in various Italian research institutions. Between 2003-2007 he was head of technology and innovation of the Experimental and Computational Seismology Research Group (Naples), and telecommunication consultant of the Competence Center of Analysis and Environmental Risk (Naples/Italy).

In 2007 Emanuel entered the field of intellectual property. He was first employed at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property as a patent examiner. Then as patent professional in the patent division of the medical engineering company Ypsomed AG and finally as technology transfer manager at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa). Emanuel joined ETH transfer in July 2013.
